About the artist...

My name is Mary Lundberg and I am currently living in Naples Florida. I have an MFA in studio art (painting) from the University of Memphis and a BA from Simpson College. I work in multiple mindsets. On one hand I create art of the imagination which is heavily influenced by the surrealists ... on another other hand I have a strong interest in animal welfare and have worked with photographing shelter animals and creating work dealing with issues.. on my third hand, having gone through some very heavy things (Irma being a part of that) I have begun to create work that deals with animals and gulf life in a different way. I have begun to work with pattern and space and line and color and textures and beauty and sometimes abstraction in new ways.. this site is a work in progress as I work so check back to see work as I progress.

Current work is signed LeeAnn which is my middle name. After the storm, I decided to change and signing my work differently was part of that.
